NSCAA, 31-Mar-2007

KeeperEdge Program Director Nathan Pitcock taught his first courses for the National Soccer Coaches Association of America's Goalkeeping Institute in Richmond, KY this past March. The NSCAA's 6-hour State Goalkeeping and 8-hour Regional Goalkeeping courses were presented over a Saturday and Sunday at Madison Indoor, attracting coaches from Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Tennessee and West Virginia. Coach Pitcock presented a curriculum focusing on the fundamental techniques of goalkeeping as well as methods of training the goalkeeper within the team practice. These two courses are part of the Goalkeeping Institute's 4-tiered education program that culminates with the Advanced National Diploma. Nathan was invited to join the Goalkeeping Institute's staff after completing the inaugural Advanced National Goalkeeping course this January in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. "It's and honor to assist in the NSCAA's mission to improve the quality of the game through coaching education. It's very rewarding to be able have an impact on the game in such a meaningful way," Pitcock said.
