Liverpool ‘keeper signs new five-year deal

Liverpool's Spanish goalkeeper Jose Reina has become the latest player to commit his long-term future to the club.

Reina, who has been away on international duty with his country this week, has now signed a new five-year contract, following hot on the heels of Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher, who penned new four-year deals on Monday.

Tim Howard has replaced Kasey Keller as the top U.S. goalkeeper heading into the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

The 37-year-old Keller has 97 international appearances and started for the United States at the 1998 and 2006 World Cups. Howard, 28, was a backup at last year's tournament in Germanyand played 18 games for the national team.
